T+6 minutes 17 seconds. This is the exhaust trail from the Solid Rocket Boosters (SRB). The shuttle is no longer visible, but it is still climbing and gaining speed. It will take another 2 minutes to reach orbit.
Notice the shadow of the plume - the sun was nearly overhead.
